The Gardner gets a shout out on “The Simpsons”

Last night The Simpsons put Mr. Burns in possession of Vermeer’s (c. 1664), one of the paintings stolen in the 1990 Gardner Heist. Watch the clip below.

I thought it was pretty cool that the Gardener was mentioned on “The Simpsons.” I’m glad Bryce Lambert pointed it out for those missed it. Frustrating to realize that in the real world the infamous crime remains unsolved as we approach the heist’s 10th anniversary.
