Last night The Simpsons put Mr. Burns in possession of Vermeer’s The Concert (c. 1664), one of the paintings stolen in the 1990 Gardner Heist. Watch the clip below.

Bryce Lambert is most comfortable in a room occupied by those >30 yrs. his senior. Perhaps that's why he started a blog on theater and classical music--or maybe it's just a symptom. His qualifications for arts criticism include an improvident English degree and some pidgin HTML. He hates Live Nation ticket fees, watching concerts via jumbotrons and buying tickets months in advance (or buying tickets at all). These are his primary reasons for going highbrow.

I thought it was pretty cool that the Gardener was mentioned on “The Simpsons.” I’m glad Bryce Lambert pointed it out for those missed it. Frustrating to realize that in the real world the infamous crime remains unsolved as we approach the heist’s 10th anniversary.
I think that would be 20th anniversary?
